While we're currently in the midst of the 2019 spring semester, it isn't too early for Viking student athletes to begin planning for the 2019 fall session. Current and future Vikings and their parents can take advantage of several informational meetings pertaining to financial aid, grants and student athlete orientation:
Saturday, March 16: West Valley College "Passport" Open House and Financial Aid Workshop 9:30am to 12:30pm - visit westvalley.edu/open-house for workshop specifics (free parking in lots four and five)
Over 50 instructional and student services programs, including classroom demos, campus tours, information tables and workshops. Students completing "Passport" can win textbook vouchers, meal certificates, parking passes and the Grand Prize: one year of free tuitions and textbooks!
Monday, April 8: Student Athlete Parents Orientation 5:30pm to 7:30pm in PE 4
Current Viking athletes and high school students and their parents will meet WVC coaches, the atheltic director and the athletic trainer. Topics will include support resources for student athletes, discussion of NCAA transfer and eligibility rules, and university transfer, ADT and major requirements.
Monday, April 8 and Monday, April 15: Athlete Orientation 5:30pm to 9:45pm in PE2
All West Valley athletes are reuired to complete this course. Enroll NOW in Counseling A, section 34824
