The West Valley baseball team opened the Coast-North season with a 13-5 win over City College of San Francisco Tuesday at Valhalla.
It was the sixth-straight win for the Vikings (10-8, 1-0 Coast-North), who trailed the Rams (2-13, 0-1) 3-0 heading to the fourth inning.
Dressler led off the eighth with a single and then scored after stealing second and coming home on a throwing error by the CCSF catcher.
West Valley put it away in the ninth, crossing the plate five times on a Connor Leaverton RBI single, a Dressler two-run double and three passed balls.
Dressler and Teschner both finished 2-4 with three RBI, and Vehikite scored three runs. Ryan Sleeman had a strong 3.1 innings of middle relief, giving up one run on three hits and striking out eight to claim the win.
The season-opening series between the Vikings and the Rams concludes Thursday (3/5) at Valhalla. First pitch is 2:00pm.
