West Valley College

Matt Strapp joins West Valley College with a decade of experience in sports information and collegiate communications. Most recently, he led digital strategy and communications for 22 varsity programs at Toronto Metropolitan University, following a tenure as the Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations at San Jose State University. A specialist in athlete-centric storytelling and brand growth, Matt holds a Master’s in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. He is dedicated to elevating the visibility of student-athletes and programs.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys watching his Toronto sports teams, playing guitar and exploring California. Matt and his wife, Ashley, live in San Jose.
