Led by returning sophomores Morgan Wright, Kristen Hayes, Hunter Roberts and Emma Blockhus, and some standout first-year players, including All-NorCal indoor player Mapu Sekona, the West Valley beach volleyball team opens 2018 with high expectations and an ultra-competetive schedule. The Vikings host the University of San Francisco on 2/23 and then face four-year squads San Jose St. (3/2), Cal (3/2) and Santa Clara (3/7), before taking on Gavilan in the Coast Conference opener March 16. West Valley will host the Coast Pairs Tournament (4/27), the NorCal Regional Team and Individual Tournament (5/3-4) and the CCCAA State Team and Individual Championships (5/10-11).
