Fred Espinoza is the head coach of the women’s soccer program at West Valley College, where he brings more than two decades of coaching experience and a track record of developing competitive programs.

Since becoming head coach in 2024, Espinoza has continued to elevate the Vikings' program, guiding the 2024 squad to a No. 15 national ranking from United Soccer Coaches in the Junior College Division III and a second-round appearance in the NorCal Regional playoffs. His appointment as head coach follows a seven-year tenure as an assistant coach at West Valley from 2017 to 2024, during which he helped the team achieve a No. 18 national ranking in 2018.

Espinoza also held a long-standing role as the girls varsity soccer head coach at Piedmont Hills High School from 2004 to 2025. Throughout his 21-year tenure, he secured multiple Blossom Valley Athletic League championships and led his teams to appearances in the Central Coast Section Division II and Division III finals.

His contributions to the sport have earned him numerous accolades, including CIF Central Coast Section Coach of the Year honors in 2017, as well as Blossom Valley Athletic League Coach of the Year awards in 2013 and 2015.
